This 55 F-100 is a
prime example of an
original Western US
truck and is very solid.

We begin this project
with the gloss black
engine bay and
installation of a 1986
Big Block 460c.i.
engine. A high flow oil
pump and Mallory
distributor installed.

Engine is now
installed and a 15
second test run was
made.

A new transmission
cross member has
been installed, the fuel
tank, flushed and
re-lined and new
exhaust was
fabricated using
Summit Racing
Products pipe and
mufflers.

The Benzmiller 55 F100
arrives at Rusty Bucks  
Ranch for a 460 cubic
inch engine install.

  This is one fine example
of an un-restored 55.
 All the steel is in excellent
condition. You don't find then
like this very often.
The Western US climate has
been good to this Effie.
 Even the hubcaps are near
pristine condition.
 The hole that will eventually
be filled with a 460 Ford.
This truck has seen numerous
engine swaps. The 460 will be
the largest ever installed in her.
 The engine bay is prepped
and sprayed with a gloss black
 The engine bay is sprayed
gloss black with a Kobalt gun
at about 38 p.s.i.

hi-flow oil pump.
Heads, Intake, Carb,
and distributor will also
be changed out.
  The 460, pan removed for oil
pump replacement. Paint is
started as it goes back together.
 Paint is Ford Blue 500 degree.
